In short: your written quote sets out the scope, price and timeline of your project. Prices on the website are starting rates, hardware is supplied and billed by us, and you are responsible for using your surveillance system lawfully.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use mukhtarnetworking.com or engage Mukhtar Networking ("we", "us"), a business based in Mumbai, India, run by Faisal Mukhtar. By using the website or accepting a quote, you agree to them.
2. Website information and estimates
Prices shown on the website are starting rates and exclude hardware and applicable taxes unless stated. The estimator gives an indicative range only; it is not an offer or a quote. Your price is confirmed in a written quote after a site survey.
3. Quotes
Every project starts with a written quote setting out the scope, deliverables, price and expected timeline. Quotes are valid for 15 days, because hardware prices change frequently. Work outside the quoted scope is charged separately and only with your approval.
4. Site surveys and design work
Site surveys, audits, network mapping, diagrams and design are professional services in their own right. A survey visit in Mumbai is charged at ₹999, and that amount is adjusted against your invoice if you go ahead with the work.
5. Hardware
We source, supply and bill hardware as part of your project, with an itemised quote. Hardware carries the manufacturer's warranty, and we help you with warranty claims. Ownership of hardware passes to you once it is paid for in full. If you prefer to buy your own hardware, we can install it, but we are not responsible for its defects or compatibility.
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide safe access to the site, power points where needed, and the information we ask for.
- Obtain any permissions needed, for example from your landlord, building management or housing society committee.
- Tell us about site conditions that could affect the work. If hidden conditions such as blocked conduits or unusual ceiling heights change the work, we will agree any change in price with you before continuing.
7. Payments
Payment terms, including any advance for hardware, are set out in your quote. We may pause work if payments are overdue. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated.
8. Workmanship
We stand behind our installation work. If there is a defect in our workmanship, report it within the support period stated in your quote, or within 30 days of handover if none is stated, and we will fix it at no labour cost. This does not cover damage from misuse, power surges, third-party changes or events outside our control.
9. Surveillance and privacy compliance
You are responsible for using your CCTV system lawfully. This includes where cameras point, recording audio, displaying notices, obtaining any consent required, and how footage is stored and shared. Cameras must never be placed where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as washrooms or changing areas. We can advise on good practice, but we do not provide legal advice.
10. Network security
We configure networks following sound security practice, but no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Keeping passwords private, applying updates and managing user access after handover are your responsibility unless you have a managed care plan with us.
11. Websites
You own the content you provide and, once paid for, the website we build for you. Domain names, hosting and third-party tools are subject to their providers' terms and renewal fees. Website management plans cover the updates described in your plan.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data or footage, or loss of business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned.
13. Confidentiality
We keep your site layouts, network details, credentials and other confidential information private, and use them only to deliver your project.
14. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction.
16. Changes and contact
